MSO Traits

Intended audience: DEVELOPERS ADMINISTRATORS

AO Platform: 4.3

Overview

An MSO Trait is a special characteristic that can be added to an MSO. The default Traits include:

  • Auditable - This trait is used for MSOs with auditable data.

  • Categorical - This trait is used for MSOs with categorical fields.

  • Comparable - This trait is used for MSOs with fields that can be compared.

  • Encryptable - This trait is used for MSOs with sensitive data, eg. passwords, SSNs, or other sensitive/user-identifiable data.

  • Graph Sourced - This trait is used to represent MSOs sourced through the Ontology graph.

  • Hierarchical - This trait is used for MSOs with hierarchical data.

  • Lookup - This trait is used for lookup MSOs that contain mostly master data for lookup.

  • Multi Groupable - This trait is used to create multiple groups and aggregations for groups to show relationships between groups when using eg. a Sankey chart.

  • Periodic Event - This trait is used for data that comes in at a periodic interval. For example, consumption data that is read once every month or bills created every month.

  • Quantitative - This trait automatically creates a balanced Quantitative representation of the value of the Trait fields selected.

  • Sortable - This trait is used for MSOs that need data to be sorted.

  • Spatial - This trait is used for MSOs containing spatial data, for instance, separate field properties with latitude and longitude values. This allows data to be shown on a map.

  • Sporadic Event - This trait is used when the data is timestamped at irregular times. This could be service orders created at different times.

  • Synchronized - This trait is used to represent synchronized time series data.

  • Temporal - This trait is used for data where there is a continuous stream of values like an IOT use case where the current power consumption is sent every second. The data may need to be aggregated over time when returned.

  • Trend - This trait is used to configure and show KPI Trend cards in Easy Answers.

  • Unstructured - This trait is used for MSO that features properties holding unstructured content, such as paragraphs of text.

The Traits are created on this page and then later associated with individual MSOs.
