Overview
The General Properties page available from the left-side navigational panel allows the user to configure all General Properties of the Ontology Composer - see list of Properties below.

Icon | Icon | The Icon representing the Ontology. | |
Name | Read-only Text Field | The Name field is the internal Ontology Name generated from the Display Name. | |
Display Name | Text Field | The Display Name is the name that will appear in the UI at runtime. | |
Domain | Read-only Dropdown | The Domain identifies which domain this object, the Ontology, belongs to. The Domain is an organizing principle for all types of objects in the system. The format is typically: com.organization.component.subcomponent. The Domain is set at the time of creating the Ontology. | |
Identifier | Read-only Text Field | The internal fully qualified path for the Ontology Name. | |
Background Color | Color Field | Click to select a color from the color picker that will be shown behind the icon for the Ontology. | |
Type | Read-only Dropdown | MSO | A Domain can be used to signify an organizational / ownership grouping. This is set at the time of creating the Ontology. |
Schema Prefix | Text Field | A unique, typically 2-5 character-long prefix for the schema. | |
Description | Multi-line Text Field | The Description field displays a brief description of the Ontology. This description is used in Search dialogs in other areas of the product, where there’s a need to search for an Ontology. | |
Long Description | Multi-line Text Field | The Long Description field displays a longer, more explanatory description of the Ontology, providing additional clarification on the use of the MSO. | |
Tags | Tags Field | The Tags are additional search terms to search the ontologies easily. | |
Function Helper Class | Dropdown | Select from the dropdown a Function Help Class to be associated with the Ontology (advanced use). |
