AO Platform: 4.3

Overview

The Connections pages allow the user to configure options for a wide range of different integration points, including Database, Neo4j, ArangoDB, Elasticsearch, Solr, Email, K Database, JMS Brokers, Kafka Brokers, Google Search Engine, ABBYY OCR Datasources, Python, DocuSign AWS, and GCP.

Most of the pages in this section offer the following general actions:

  • Search/Filter - use a search term to find an entry from existing configurations.

  • Delete - batch deletion of any/all selected items.

  • Add New - create a new entry on the page.

  • Refresh - refreshes the page.

  • Import from Excel - allows provision to import configuration of one or more entries of the selected configuration page.

  • Export as CSV - exports the content of page to a CSV file.

  • Settings - allows configuration of which columns can be seen on the page.

  • Go to (or select by page number) - allows moving to another page in case of too many entries for one page.

Additionally, these are the actions on individual entries:

  • View - views the properties of an entry in read-only mode.

  • Edit - allows the properties of an entry to be edited.

  • Delete - deletes an entry.

  • Add to Transport - adds the configuration record to Transport.

  • View Listeners - views the Listeners related to JMS or Kafka Brokers.

  • View Bucket List - views the Buckets relating to and AWS Account.

Databases

The Databases page includes a list of JDBC-compliants Database data sources available on the AO Platform.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General settings, Connection/Authentication, Connection Pool, Security, and additional key/value pairs, where required.

For out-of-the-box JDBC providers included - see Database Types section in Admin > Configurations.

Neo4j

The Neo4j page includes a list of Neo4j data sources available on the AO Platform. Neo4j is a graph database system.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication and additional key/value pairs, where required. Neo4j is an optional system integration.

ArangoDB

The ArangoDB page includes a list of ArangoDB data sources available on the AO Platform. ArangoDB is a multi-model database system.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication and additional key/value pairs, where required. ArangoDB is used by the AO Platform to store the Ontology graphs and MSO configurations.

Elasticsearch

The Elasticsearch page includes a list of Elasticsearch data sources available on the AO Platform. Elasticsearch is a search engine.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication/Security and additional key/value pairs, where required. Elasticsearch is a mandatory system integration for the AO Platform.

Solr

The Solr page includes a list of Solr data sources available on the AO Platform. Solr is an enterprise-search platform.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication/Security and additional key/value pairs, where required. Solr is an optional system integration.

Email

The Email page includes a list of SMTP-based Email configurations available on the AO Platform. SMTP is the standard protocol for allowing the AO Platform to send out Emails notifications.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication/Security and additional key/value pairs, where required. Although an Email configuration is optional, it’s highly recommended in order to allow for Email notifications from the AO Platform.

K Databases

The K Databases (or kdb+) page includes a list of K Database data sources available on the AO Platform. K Database is a column-based, relational, time series database with in-memory abilities.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General and Connection/Authentication. K Database is an optional system integration.

JMS Brokers

The JMS Brokers page includes a list of JMS Broker connections integrated with the AO Platform. JMS Brokers are used to manage data messages between software producers and consumers in a loosely coupled, asynchronous environment.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication and Security. The AO Platform uses ActiveMQ as its default JMS Broker for notifications. The JMS Brokers are associated with one or more Listeners of Topics which can be viewed via View Listeners in the Options menu - also see JMS Listeners page in Admin > Message Queues.

Kafka Brokers

The Kafka Brokers page includes a list of Kafka Broker connections integrated with the AO Platform. Kafka Brokers are used to manage data messages between software producers and consumers in a loosely coupled, asynchronous, scalable and high-performance environment.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication and additional key/value pairs, where required. The AO Platform uses Kafka as its default message Broker for events. The Kafka Brokers are associated with one or more Listeners of Topics which can be viewed via View Listeners in the Options menu - also see Kafka Listeners page in Admin > Message Queues.

ABBYY OCR Datasources

The ABBYY OCR Datasources page includes a list of ABBYY OCR server connections integrated with the AO Platform. ABBYY OCR Datasources are used to automate high-volume document conversion using optical character recognition (OCR).

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection/Authentication and additional key/value pairs, where required. ABBYY OCR server is an optional system integration.

Python

The Python page includes a list of Python execution servers integrated with the AO Platform. A Python execution server is used to execute Python scripts in a web server environment.

Configuration details include properties for Connection and Authentication.

DocuSign

The DocuSign page includes a list of DocuSign service connections integrated with the AO Platform. A DocuSign service is used to manage electronic agreements with trusted electronic signature exchange.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Connection and Authentication.

AWS > AWS Accounts

The AWS Accounts page includes a list of Amazon Web Services accounts integrated with the AO Platform. An AWS Account is required to make use of the hundreds of AWS web services available.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General and Security.

AWS > S3 Buckets

The S3 Buckets page includes a list of AWS S3 (Simple Storage Service) data bucket connections integrated with the AO Platform. An AWS S3 Bucket is used to store any kind of data in the AWS cloud.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General and Storage information.

Google > Google Search Engines

The Google Search Engines page includes a list of Google Search Engine connections integrated with the AO Platform. Google Search Engines are used to retrieve and display search results from Programmable Search Engine using RESTful requests.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General and various search parameters such as API key, search engine id.

Google > Big Query

The Big Query page includes a list of Google Cloud Platform account and connection details integrated with the AO Platform. Signup at https://console.cloud.google.com/freetrial/signup.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General and Google Cloud Config information.

SFTP

The SFTP page includes a list of configuration entries for SFTP connections, including user credentials, encryption options, etc…

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, SFTP, and Additional Properties.

Redis > Cache

The Redis Cache page includes a list of configuration entries for Caching options, used by the AO Platform to store things like Easy Answers questions in their converted SQL format - to allow faster retrieval, and Materialized Views and Cached MSOs relative to Federated Data configurations.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Redis Cache, and Additional Properties.

Redis > Cluster

The Redis Cluster page includes a list of configuration entries for defining the Cluster configurations for both the Redis and Alluxio Cache.

Configuration details include properties in the Redis Cluster category.

Vector Databases

The Vector Databases page includes a list of Vector Database configuration entries, including Weaviate DB and Pinecone DB.

Configuration details include properties in the following categories: General, Vector Database, and Additional Properties.
