Editing a Page

Overview
To edit, select a Page from the list on the main Page page and click Open in the More menu. The Page configuration is broken into the following sections:
Design
The Page Composer has the following user interface for editing solution Pages, including: Palette, Canvas, and Properties.

User Actions
Header
Select Resolution - the Resolution buttons are only available if Resolutions of the Page design have been Saved.
Insert Column - click to add a new column to the selected cell in current Layout.
Insert Row - click to add a new row to the selected cell in the current Layout.
Save - various options to Save the Page:
Save - saves the current state of the Page configuration.
Save as
Page - creates a new Page based on configuration state of current Page.
Version - creates a new Version of the configuration state of current Page. Page Versions can be found under Version History. Also see Versions and Version History.
Version History - use the below icon from the left-side navigational panel allows the user to select a version for the Page from the of Page Versions.
Resolution-XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL - creates an instance of Page based on selected screen resolution: XS = Extra Small, etc… Once saved, the Header will show the different resolutions saved.
Autosave - toggle allowing for the Page to be automatically saved every 5 minutes.
Undo - click to undo the last action.
Redo - click to redo the last action.
Clear - clears selected cell from the Canvas.
Toggle Zoom - adds/removes zoom slider and thumbnail view of Canvas.
Snapshot - takes a screenshot - will be added to clipboard.
Publish Draft - publishes the Page and updates status from Draft to Published. If any additional edits or changes are updated, a new Draft Page is created.
Edit Draft - this option is only available once page has been published. If selected, the page will be opened again allowing the page to be further configured and, if required, re-published.
View Draft - allows user to view the pages
Add to Transport - adds the Page to Transport.
Preview - executes the Page and opens dialog showing a preview of the output.
Exit - returns to the Page Composer list view.
Palette
Search - allows user to Search for any Palette Task by name.
Select - use the “+” icon from the respective Palette section to select a Task from the full list of Tasks.
Drag/Drop - adds/replaces a Task to/on the Canvas.
Property Details
Basic / Advanced - select between mandatory (Basic) properties and many additional properties (Advanced) for ultimate flexibility.
Palette
Use options in the left-side Palette panel to insert Layout organization and Applications to be inserted into the Layout cells. The Layouts available are created with the Layout Composer - see Layout Composer, and the Applications available are created with the Application Composer - see Application Composer.

Canvas
The Canvas initially shows a single cell layout, but this cell can be easily subdivided into rows and columns as needed.

Properties
Each Cell and Application added to the Canvas will have Properties, some mandatory (identified by an * after the Property label), others optional. Use the Property Panel to configure a minimum the mandatory Properties. There are two general groups of Properties; Basic and Advanced. See Configuring Properties.

Settings
The Settings page available from the left-side navigational panel allows the user to configure some basic properties for the Page - see list of Properties below.

Properties
Label | Description |

Page ID | An autogenerated, non-changable ID given to the Page based on the selected Domain and Title. This property can only be set in the Create dialog when creating a new Page. |
Title | The friendly name of the Page. This property can only be set in the Create dialog when creating a new Page. |
Description | A short description for the Page. This description is used in the Search dialog elsewhere in the AO Platform where there’s a need to search for Pages. |
Visibility | Select between Public or Private. If Private, no other users can view/access. See Visibility and Ownership of Composer Objects. |
Domain | Use dropdown to select from existing Domain names. A Domain can be used to signify an organizational / ownership grouping. |
Icon URL | Add a URL for the icon that will be used to represent the Page in the left-side panel of a Solution. |

JS Files | Select one or more JavaScript (JS) files from dropdown that’ll be used/referenced by the Page. |
CSS Files | Select one or more Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) files from dropdown that’ll be used/referenced by the Page. |
Tags | Add one or more descriptive tags that will be used when searching for Pages elsewhere across the AO Platform. |
Parameters
The Parameters page allows the user to create input parameters that can be used as variables allowing the given page to take dynamic values as input when being opened.
