View Tasks for MSO

Overview

The Task Viewer shows a list of all Tasks that are being run in the background relative to the Ontology Discovery process. It helps user understand which tasks are being run and their status.

The Task Viewer can be opened from the View Tasks menu option in two places:

  • from the Ontology’s Action menu - only the tasks from the selected Ontology will be shown.

  • from the User menu - from here all tasks will be shown in the Task Viewer for all Ontologies.

Task Viewer

The following information is available from the Task Viewer dialog:

  • Status - indicates the following…

    • Blue - the process has been scheduled, but not yet in process.

    • Orange - the process is currently ongoing.

    • Green - the successful completion of the process.

    • Red - the failure of the process.

  • Task Type - the task categories for the Discovery process, eg. MSO Statistics.

  • Task - the specific tasks, eg. Statistics will be run for each MSO, eg. Creating Meter Statistics.

  • Items - the number of individual components that are being processed during the task.

  • Started at - the timestamp for when the process was started.

  • Duration - the duration of the process - only available when the task has finished.

  • Started by - the name of the user starting the process.

  • Additional insight into each task can be viewed via options in the Action menu, including:
