MSO - Settings
Intended audience: ANALYSTS DEVELOPERS ADMINISTRATORS
AO Platform: 4.3
Overview
This section contains some unique configuration options for the selected MSO. There are generally three types of configuration pages under Settings:
Easy Answers - The Easy Answers properties determine how Easy Answers' results pages and app components are generated and rendered. See the Easy Answers' Properties table below.
Insights - The Insights properties determine various configuration settings relative to the Quick Insights and their output, such as color representation in Charts and Textual Insights.
Discovery - The Discovery properties support the Discovery processes (Relationships, Words, and Traits). See Discovering Enrichments for MSO.
Statistics Pipelines - One or more Statistics Pipelines can be added to the MSO. Such Pipelines will replace the default Pipeline used for creating Statistics on the Statistics page in case there’s a need to generate new/different/more Statistics than the default Pipeline can do. Also, the default Pipeline only considers Database data sources, so if a non-Database data source is used for a given MSO, a Pipeline should be added here to generate the desired Statistics for the MSO Statistics page. See MSO - Statistics.
Annotation Manager - The Annotation Manager property determines which Annotation UI Template will be used for the MSO being configured. Additionally, the Annotation functionality will have to be separately enabled in Applications as well as at the Solution level in order to appear in the UI at runtime. See Annotation Composer for Annotation Templates.
Default Criteria - This page opens the Query Builder, allowing users to add default criteria that will be added to all Easy Answers questions unless overwritten by the user specifically in the user’s question. For instance, if the default criteria include “date > 01/01/2023”, then all questions that include the “date” property will automatically be filtered to only include data from 1 Jan 2023 onwards. If however, the user asks the question “Show all issues from November 2022”, the question will override the default criteria and only show the November 2022 records. See Using Query Builder.
