Overview

The Transport Tool is represented by this icon in the Solution menu:

The Transport Tool is the user interface to allow components of a solution to be exchanged between different AO Platform servers. In other words, a developer can export his solution components from a development environment and import same into a different test and/or production environment.

There are 2 key tasks involved with the process of transfering a solution component from one environment to another:

  1. Selecting the components to be transferred, then Downloading (or exporting) components from the Transport Details list

  2. Uploading (or importing) the downloaded transfer packages into a new environment
